2010 New Year’s Intentions…Not Resolutions

No resolutions for me in 2010. I am setting intentions and forgetting about old school resolutions. For many us, resolutions seem to be made to be broken and I do not need any little failures littering my “gonna be amazing” 2010. It seems to me that resolutions are almost MADE to be broken and people somehow EXPECT to break their resolutions…so why bother? This year I am starting off with an agenda of empowering, achievable intentions!
Earlier today I snagged a nice, fresh piece of poster board and started my 2010 Intentions Board. I will admit, I got a wee bit of a head start as I had been tearing way cool pics and bis from magazines for the last week or so, getting ready for the big event…tahdah…Intention Day!
At the center of my 2010 Intention Board, I have stated “Who I A Is Enough” one of my favorite Denise Linn quotations. To me, that sums up the struggle that so many of us have…that somehow we are inherently just not enough…most of us have an Enough Button…slim enough, young enough, smart enough, clever enough, all the way to that all time, all around Enough Button…plain old Good Enough.
I filled the rest of my 2010 Intention Board with quotes, pictures, and some of my It’s Your Karma Cards…just to ensure the absolute success of that soon-to-be-released project – blatant pre-plug. I was careful to cover various aspects of my life, my marriage, mu animals, my health, my spiritual path, friends, family, and good old fashioned abundance and prosperity!

Build Your Own Virtual Yak!

I am all in a tither! FreeTibet.org has a delightful program called Virtual Yak and it allows you to create your own yak and upload it to the plateau and the proceeds go to FreeTibet.org! Not only can you have a blast creating and naming your own Yak, you help a very important cause. I just went a little crazy on Facebook with this, so bear (bare, I never know) with me as I babble about this a bit. I am just delighted by it. For 4,000 years nomads have grazed herds of yak over the vast grasslands of Tibet. But now, the Chinese government is assaulting this distinctive form of Tibetan culture by forcing almost one million nomads off their ancestral lands and into desolate tenement complexes where their agricultural skills are suddenly redundant. As nomads are forced into resettlement complexes, their yaks and other livestock are confiscated or slaughtered.

Prosperity Challenge by Summer McStravick

I know it is a crazy time of the year to begin a self-help kinda program, but I feel really moved to begin Summer McStravick’s Prosperity Challenge. It is a two week program incorporating her Flowdreaming work, which is a guided day-dream, not a meditation, more of an interactive flow of affirmations and guidance to allow the Flow to come into your body. I have listened to her podcasts since she first started them with Hay House. She is out on her own now and has a lot of powerful work going on. She has even done workshops teamed with my beloved Denise Linn. I know this work will meld beautifully with my Your Soul Coach program.
Anyway, let’s talk definition of Prosperity. I feel as if I have an infinitely abundant life. I am healthy, have a great husband (most of the time), animals that make me smile, lotsa fabu friends and we live in a beautiful part of nature. Plus, we have running water, are warm, and my vehicle is usually working (teehee)! I have my new It’s Your Karma Deck coming out soon and I am setting the intention, building a foundation, creating the energy of amazing success and powerful prosperity associated with it. This work is going to help soo many people, I want to get the word out and prep my energy for a big blast! This is one of my steps in that direction.
Prosperity for you might be something very different, a new job, a new relationship, a raise at your current job, new clients for your practice…there are as many definitions of Prosperity at there are each of you!
OK, back to the Prosperity Challenge. I have listened to the appropriate Flowdreams and felt the energy of Prosperity! WhooHoo! Now, I am grounding it by sharing with each of YOU. After I post this blog post I am off to create my Vision Board for this program. I will share pics of that one when I am through with it.
